I bought an MP3 player from ecost.com that was built by Mach Speed, hoping to get a $40.00 rebate from the company. I filled out the rebate forms and sent everything in within the specified times and waited for the rebate check to come. When it had passed 2 1/2 months I called the company and they told me that my submission was invalid because I had not put the serial # on the form.
The receptionist informed me that the serial # was on the inside of the player, underneath the battery and there was nothing she could do for me. When I asked her to transfer me to someone who could help me she told me there wasn't anyone who could help me. Don't buy Mach Speed products in the hopes of getting a rebate, they do not pay up and make it very difficult for people to fill out the form correctly. I put the numbers that were on the box, usually where the serial # is found, and I did not receive my rebate.
