I was on my way into the local compUSA when a man in a white astro van hailed me and began to talk rapidly about speakers he got for free and how he needed to get rid of them before he went to his next install job. He was very adamant about there actual value which was around $800 or something.
He parked in the lot and showed me the speakers. When he opened the van it was full of home theater systems and speakers and such. He showed me the speakers while explaining that another man just before me had tried to buy the speakers for $600 for a pair of tour MTS speakers. He then added that the man had tried to pay with check, which should have been my first clue, but had refused because he wanted cash and nothing else for the speakers. He offered me a price I pleaded having no money but then he lowered his price and i was dumb and accepted his offer for the speakers.
Later I called the phone on the receipt the guy had given me and i got the guy directly no office or anything. They only used first names and were in a "hurry" as they had to go install another system soon.
Moral here is dont buy things froma person selling stuff out of the back of a van in a parking lot.
