Ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing, luring us into signing contract under false pretenses

This rip off report is written in regard to a Loan Partner/Real Estate agent, Mr. Nick Stevens, employee of:
Ark Companies LTD
1200 W. Ash Street, Suite A
Windsor, Colorado, 80550.

We contacted Mr. Nick Stevens to discuss the refinancing of our home. Mr. Stevens arrived at our home, papers in hand, at the agreed upon time.

During the initial visit, Mr. Stevens gave us several papers to sign: he informed us that the papers were to give him permission to check our credit, in addition to a Good Faith estimate.

We did not read any of the papers, as Nick Stevens appeared to be in a hurry to leave. He answered several cell phone calls while in our home, made several cell phone calls, and thrust the papers in front of us urging us to sign them so he could get the credit check completed and proceed with the process.

Mr. Stevens did NOT give us a copy of any of the papers that we signed that day. He took ALL papers with him, including ORIGINAL documents of our tax returns, check stubs, and bank statements.

The original good faith estimate quoted to us by Nick Stevens on the initial visit was changed three times per phone conversations by Mr. Stevens. With each phone conversation, the costs to refinance grew higher. We informed Mr. Stevens, per phone, that we would NOT be refinancing our home with him after he changed good faith costs for the 3rd time. After we informed him of our decision, he continued to harass and pester us via phone calls, insisting that he could come up with costs that would be satisfactory.

We then sent him written notice, September 7, stating that we would not be using his services. We were SHOCKED, when 3 days later, September 10, we received a bill from Nick Stevens for $775! He left the bill on our front porch, along with 3 different copies of a good faith estimate (only one of them signed by us,) and our original documents.

Nick Stevens now claims that we signed a contract, agreeing to pay for 3rd party fees associated with the securing of a loan. He also claims that we informed him 24 hours before closing that we were not going to refinance our home with him. IF we signed a contract with Mr. Stevens, it was signed under FALSE pretenses. Furthermore, we informed him long before any closing date that we would not be using his services.

Mr. Stevens conduct is unethical and dishonest, as well as deceitful and disreputable. He failed to provide required loan disclosures, he attempted to pressure us to accept monthly payments we could not afford, he promised one set of terms when we applied, and then gave us another set of terms with no legitimate explanation for the change, and he refused to give us copies of the documents that we signed.
