I was sent an e-mail about working from home stuffing envelopes for an overly busy company. They claimed to have needed the extra help getting information out to interested parties of the business.
There were four work groups that you could choose from, each requiring a different amount of money you would need to invest into the bus. For supplies, which was to be reimbursed after 3 consecutive paychecks.
Well needless to say I fell for this scam and sent them a check for $105.00 (part of work group #3). The check was cashed and about a week later I was sent envelopes, papers with info about a credit card offer and labels w/names address on them.
As part of the initial proccess I had to purchase stamps to apply on all these letters once they were stuffed. Again it was stated that a reimbursment would be given for the stamps.
I stuffed all the envelopes sent to me for a total of 95 letters. Stamped them and put them in the mail. This was on 6/21/04. I do have extra copies of the paper I stuffed into the envelopes if it is needed for reference purposes. I have not received any payment for the work done or money spent.
