Around April 21 I purchased one gallon of Winn Dixie Superbrand premixed tea. When consuming the product I felt a slippery substance in my mouth so I spit it out and what I saw appeared to be a human blood clot and I found more in the bottom of my tea glass. I immediately called the Winn Dixie store where I purchased the tea from, in which the manager offered to replace the tea with a gift certificate and he would check the others in the store to see if they had anything in it.
Well I was not satisfied with the recompense offered so I requested the main office #. I was given the Customer Response Center in which I filed what I thought was a claim inquiring was someone injured on the job at that time when using or mixing with their blend tank, pasteurizer or filler. I was told it would be checked out and I would be contacted and someone would be contacting me from Risk Management so I waited one wk and I was not called by their company at all.
I then called to see about my claim at Winn Dixie Corporate Office/Risk Management which is handled by Sedgwick Ins. Company. No one could find my claim and so they suggested I go back to the store where I purchased the tea and file a claim there, I simply refused and so the person I was speaking with decided to file a claim for me. I received serveral calls in 2 days in which everyone I spoke with did not know if the claim was for my daugher or myself. Their main concern was did I still have the product and how to get rid of it by returning it to the store or by mail. I was finally was contacted by a claims adjuster in the mid day who wanted me to record some kind of statement but their would be no money to be considered. I simply refused and explained since they could not find my information in the computer on my claim and when it was found, nothing was correct, I started to hang up, when the adjuster interrupted me and decided to be the one to hang up first and thanked me for my business or something like that.
