Recently I too have been ripped off by a company named RJ Enterprise whose president is Robert Hancock. Like so many others, I believed this was a legitimate home business since I answered an add in my local newspaper.
I paid the $25.00 by money order and then later was asked for another $5.00 for training materials which I sent to Training & Aftercare Center, PO Box 312, Akron, AL 35441.
The paperwork stated that if I did not receive the material within 14 days DO NOT JUST SIT AND WAIT - write the Training & Aftercare Center. Today was the 14th day and I have received nothing.
Before writing them, I decided to look up "home envelope stuffing" and "Robert Hancock" on the internet. I was stunned by what I read about this business and these people.
Being the honest person that they were looking for, I never thought to check this out first since I had responded to a local newspaper add and sent the application to a local PO Box.
I was deceived in thinking they too were honest.
With due diligence, I will now photocopy all of my paperwork and forward it to as many agencies as possible so these people are caught. I cannot understand how this can be happening all over the country and they have not been caught.
My $30.00 investment was the biggest lesson I have ever learned.
I am thankful that it was a small investment. However, the size of the investment still does not make this right.
