Ripoff - their five lies cost me my business

First lie was the contacts that I was given to check Teleking and their business out. These people had only good things to say and quit apparently good jobs because they were continuing to increase locations and sales. They said the machines were key to success.

Second lie was when I ordered 6 machines. A young lady, who said she was next level supervisor, said she could give me a deal if I bought more machines. If I ordered soon, they could send them with my first machine order and save on shipping. The second set of machines came in more than two months later. When I called to find out where the second set was, I was told that I was getting more updated machines. (The update turned out to be a high/low volume switch.)

Third lie was the locations they sent me to. Many times I would go to a location and find no one there to talk to. Also, many times, the location would change their mind about selling the cards within the 10 minutes of Teleking calling them and my arrival time. Also, many locations had no idea what Teleking was talking to them about. When I would talk to the retailer and ask if Teleking explained what we are doing, they would say no.

Fourth lie was when retailers called me to say the cards weren't working. I lost sales for more than 2 months while I contacted Teleking sometimes daily and occasionally hourly to find out why the cards weren't turned on. During this time, I talked to many people and managers at Teleking trying to get this resolved. I almost was connected with Frank Schreiber but someone caught the call.

I was told that they had been talking about my problem. All I received for my loss was $200 face value worth of cards. This really hurt my business for months to come as no one trusted the cards.

Fifth lie was when I was told that I was the only distributer in the DesMoines area. "Chuck, you should do really well in DesMoines as we have no one in that area." Wrong, There were other people with the exact same card in the stores that I was sent to. I was told that my cards were exclusive to Teleking. I now find that Intelecall sells the cards to Teleking and three other companies.

Now, what used to be personal calls to my locator now need to be faxed if I want more locations. Also, I must provide him with zip codes for the area that I want him to find locations in. Suddenly they don't have time for me.

The machines are junk, no retailer wants one in his store, and if it is in the store, it sets empty and turned off as the constant message is annoying. I have had to purchase smaller lexan phone card displays.
The cost of the Teleking machines should be reimbursed as they overpriced and not useable.

The term "turn key" means that you shouldn't need to purchased other items to sell the cards. This company is not turn key!
