My girlfriend and I started going to ITT in the spring of March. We are both majoring in the Visual Communications program. Nearly EVERY quarter we've been in (minus our first) we've had multiple problems with the instructors not knowing their curriculum and not knowing how to teach it. Not only that but the school itself just wasn't ready for this program. They didn't have enough computers, literally had to share a lab with another class going on. And they won't even supply the neccessary software so we can work on our assignments outside of school (let alone provide us with a good working labtop and not one that is double the price with our tuition...)
We are currently in our fourth quarter, and we've been going back and forth on dropping out of ITT. We both have been very unhappy with the way things have been going, but unfortunately as said in the other reports posted on this website we've been locked in so to speak since credits don't transfer to other schools, and we really don't want to be paying money to go to a school that says that they would help us get a well paid job when we graduate (when they really don't).
We both went to the director a couple weeks back asking if they really were going to do that but he said that they just help us build a resume to send out to whom we would want to send it to. Several students in our program and others feel the same way that we do. That we aren't getting out of what we're paying this school to teach us. We want to start up a petition or a class action suit, so if anyone who is or was attending ITT Technical Institute (any one, doesn't matter) if you are willing to participate, please come forth. We all really need to get our money back!!
