Attention lawyers!!! And anyone who has been a victim of itt!!!
I graduated ITT in 2004 with an IT degree. Upon signing up for the program, i was initially cohersed into signing up for electronic engineering. First off, due to my lack of knowledge about student loans, I WAS NEVER. I REPEAT NEVER INFORMED that I not only was signing up for a sallie mae loan, but also a private loan in which the interest is building up astronomically!
I was promised internships as well as employment by the end of my eighth quarter. Nothing ever happened. All i received was a hand in creating a measley resume. I tirlessly sought employment in the field, I do mean tirelessly, from online for hours, to faxing resumes, calling different places and even praying. I NEVER GOT A JOB IN THE FIELD!
Here it is almost 5 years later and all I have is harassing phone calls telling me the private loan is on the desk of a lawyer. I am trying to survive with the little that me my husband and my daughter has, and now i'm being threatened with court. The devil is a LIAR! I feel like i was tricked into something that led me to ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but DEEP DEBT. (over $45,000.00) It's not fair.
I know that ITT is a rip-off school. I just need someone is willing to fight for me and with me. I feel like me and so many others have been done wrong. Now I have a desire to go back to school and now i'm afraid or possibly unable to because of the loans. It's not fair that ITT has moved on to thousands of new enrollees year after year, and me and my family are afraid every time i get paid if my check is being garnished.
I believe the head honchos of that school should pay. Somebody at the top has evil intentions and it seems to be affecting so many. I am very serious about getting representation against this school even knowing that the odds are against me. Somebody has to be brave and step up, and i am willing, so if their are any lawyers and past enrollees who are willing to agree with me, I think we can at least cut the head of this sneaky snake. I keep hearing that ITT has been investigated and can understand why. Thank You to anyone willing to at least respond, and GOD Bless
