I too have received a scam letter from shopping quest inc. They sent a check for 4,998 and a list of assignments I was to do. Naturally uncomfortable with a stranger sending me a check for that amount, I called to see what the gimmick was. This guy (the only guy that answers) was very brief and told me just to deposit the check and then call him for instructions. I called back again and he responded the same way. Finally, I had my husband called and was told the same thing. We then told him that we saw the report on this websiite from another consumer. He then switched us to a phone system to leave a message for the coordinator. My husband, very upset at this point called again under a different name. Once my husband asked for a manager, the guy responded saying he was the manager. My husband once again told him about the complaint found on the website and again was hung up on. Now, I will do everything in my power to report thes con artists and help some innocent consumers just trying to find legitmate ways to make some extra mail. My advice to all consumers, if it seems too real to be true, research it!!!
