Like the many others who have also been scammed by this outfit, I noticed a $10 charge on my bank statement payable to "Shopper Discount, " which I did not recognize. Upon checking into this, it seems that when I made a recent purchase from "Dr. Leonard's, " I made the mistake of clicking on a coupon that was offered. Upon clicking, it seems that my credit card information was then immediately forwarded from Dr. Leonard's to the coupon holder, "Shopper Discount." They then enrolled me in their "club" with the intent of charging me $10 each month.
An email regarding this "transaction" was sent to me by Shopper Discount, which was immediately identified as spam and therefore not read.
Upon notifying my bank of this unauthorized charge, I was told they do not assist in fraud charges on amounts less than $50.
I then contacted "Shopper Discount" and asked that my "membership" be immediately canceled, and also asked that my $10 be returned to me. They have so far stated they canceled my membership and will credit the $10 to my account "within 3 to 5 days."
