Kindercare - Knowledge Learning Centers
The MOST Unprofessional, Unclean Child Care Facility EVER! Do not take your child there!

I'll try to keep it short and simple... Below is a list of the problems I've encountered. But I'm sure there are MANY more:

*Lack of educational activities/books in class
*No Assistant teacher for kindergarten class of eleven
*Graded test are given to kindergarteners (not age appropriate)
*Kindergarteners taught by putting in a CD instead of the teacher TEACHING them
*Children watching movies instead of having outside time
*High turn over rate in front office staff (Directors)
*High turn over rate in teachers (kindergarten teacher quit three weeks into school year and it took another three weeks to replace her)
*No one in the front office morning or evening
*Lack of activities (toys/games) for children in afternoon)
*Lunch not monitored to insure children eat well or at all
*Field trips (none)
*Lack of response unless Corporate Office is notified (and then it's just a Customer Service Rep that knows nothing about children/education)
*Not having properly equipped buses to transport four year olds
*Cleanliness of center
*Sick children allowed back into class to wait for parents
*Child with diarrhea that had an accident left unchanged for at least 2-3 hours until parent arrived at 6:30 PM
*No one aware of my child's SEVERE food allergies or Epipen
*No interaction from front office staff with children
*Children with MAJOR discipline problems (hitting/biting/running off) in center

Like I said there are MANY other problems with Kindercare. The center my son attends is not the only one. We had him in Kindercare when he was an infant (9 weeks old)... After the first three days had ended up in the hospital with a severe stomach virus. We thought it was just a "bug" going around but pulled him out of the center anyway and I left work and stayed home with him until he was a year and a half.

At that point we put him back in Kindercare (a different center though)... It was horrible. He cried on a daily basis (mind you he was well adjusted enough to be away from me)... He was in a classroom with almost 30 two year olds and two teachers. And it seemed as though there were new teachers every month.

The final straw with this center was when another child pushed my son into a bookcase one morning when I was dropping him off. He hit his forehead and required stiches. I had just walked out the classroom door and had turned to look back at him once more when I saw the other child do this. Not one of the teachers responded until I walked back into the class to help my son up. I pulled him out that day.

We found a nice private school for him and we were happy for two years... Until KLC bought them out. Now we are dealing with the same issues plus the multiple problems above. Unfortunately, my son has made friends at this center (he is now in kindergarten) and just about every center in my area is owned by KLC. He was not old enough to start public kindergarten so we have no choice but to keep him there until the next school year.

I have complained to everyone I can possibly think of and I'm now trying to get them exposed to whatever media that will listen. KLC has never responded to my complaints. PLEASE if you care for your children you will NOT place them in ANY facility owned or operated by Knowledge Learning Center!!!
