Complaint / Review
Optionetics
FRAUD or the new age of business?

Apparently this site doesn't do anything to discourage individuals from signing up for their seminar, so I have to urge people o go to their state attorney general if they have a complaint. Apparently the only ones who have a chance of stopping the scam I am going to describe is by getting someone with teeth involved as 13 years of unethical business has not changed this leopard's spots.

Like so many innocent and naive consumers taken in by false promises of something too good to be true, but I really wanted to believe it, I am embarrassed to admit I got nailed by Optionetics. Below is my story and I am hoping I am an isolated case, but judging from the other students in the seminar I guess we all have one thing in common... Victimization.

I originally signed up for a seminar on the understanding that if I didn't make money trading their special way they would give me all my money back. What a joke, and I can't believe I fell for it. I lost all but $82.00 in my trading account after almost memorizing their system verbatim, though it was tough to do given the inconsistencies, confusing calls and puts in the texts, etc. All an attorney general or FTC has to do is read their books and see that they promise no risk on trades. Wish it were true. As a matter of fact my instructor even stated he never traded.

Of course the class wasn't enough to be successful so I invested $4,000 in software made by a company in Australia called HUBB that like the country was written upside down. Everything is the software can be had elsewhere for free other than the historical options data, but when opening that up it crashes 9 out of 10 times. I contacted HUBB and they stated (no joke) that the only problem with the software is the historical data portion. I asked for a refund as I could get everything else that did work for free elsewhere and was denied.

After several complaints my problems were unsolved and I gave up after a huge runaround I was given. I told them to never contact me again and put me on a do not call list. 3 weeks later I get cold called from some mentioning company that claimed was Optionetics but wasn't. Can you say FRAUD. The salesperson said they were with Optionetics and after further investigation I find out the company is in Utah and has NO affiliation with Optionetics other than they sell lists or get kick backs.

No last month I get a flier in the mail I am forwarding to the SEC showing a graph with no possibility to lose money. IF this were true do you think they would be teaching this for $3,000 or making $300 million doing it themselves? If you got one of these send it to the AG office or the SEC as this FRAUDULANT material is scamming innocent people into believing they can trade with no risk. As a matter of fact the ad stated, Have you ever seen a risk-free graph?

How do you sleep at night? Stop calling as I am on a do not call list and told you to stop. A day will come to these people if we all ban together. Anyone else want to get a class action going? I guess you can tell I have had enough?
