Let me start out by saying that I am one of the students who went to the Ameritrain site in Charlotte in July to begin MCSE class only to find the office vacant with no explanation.
Of course I was baffled and angry.in the last few weeks, I have felt many of the heavy emotions that have been so graphically expressed in many postings on this website.
Anyone who has experienced heavy losses in this life will eventually recognize patterns. First there is denial, you just can't believe it. Then there is anger, which is often misdirected, sometimes towards the very ones who least deserve it, sometimes inward to our own selves. There are also feelings of guilt: Was it my fault? Could I have prevented it? If only I had...
Finally there comes acceptance. You face up to it and begin to move on with your life. Either that, or it hobbles or even crushes you to the point where you are no good to yourself or anyone else. It's better to get up and do what has to be done.
Remember that ethical people can still be found even in corrupt organizations. Please don't tar everyone with the same brush. Personal insults and invective don't just hurt the target. They hurt the people who hurl them, too.
To those employees of A-train who have been unfairly targeted, I say "whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger." Forgive those who spitefully use you and persecute you. Hold fast to your core personal values. Don't give up.
To those who feel betrayed by Ameritrain: Do what you need to do to recover your lost money, time, pride. Focus your anger in ways that further your cause and your own recovery.
