I recently ordered a very large quantity of space bags. I thought this would be a perfect way to keep bedding, clothes, etc. From damage while in storage.
To my chagrin, about 1/3 of the bags did not work. They will not stay flattened. Air gets inside and they lose compression. Thinking that the bags possibly could have been overstuffed, my husband and I removed most of the items and tried vacuuming the air out again. None of the bags stayed deflated.
I notified a Spacebag representative from the phone number on the website and was told to cut the Spacebag emblem out of each of the bags and mail them back with a letter of explanation for a refund. What? I have to use my money to pay for postage and then wait while the request is being processed for a product that was defective from the beginning? I don't think so.
Instead, I will put my time where it is most useful.By posting to consumer websites, I will let others know of the unsatisfactory service and poor quality of merchandise that I received.
It is disheartening when a call is made to customer service to try to fix a problem and the problem is ignored. I call this customer disservice.
PS - Please note that since the call to Spacebags, the count is now up to over 50% of the bags not working.
