I have spent a few days now reviewing the reports here on this site. I can relate to all the complaints from students because they are my complaints as well. I only attended one class and when my financial aid did not show up and I was sent a bill for over 1500 for the class I knew something was wrong. After several phone calls and emails being ignored I realized I had been dooped. I complained repeatedly to financial aid officer Priscilla Reveron and suddenly my pell grant was found to cover the cost of the first class. My aid did not appear for the second class so I set a time limit as to how long I would play along. The end result was I withdrew from the program. I was given a fax number to send a withdrawal form to but did not trust it. I faxed and then sent the form by certified letter requiring a signature one week before my second class was to start. I was told as long as I did not log into my second class I would not be charged but I am suspicious. My education has been interrupted and I don't know how that affects my future yet. Education is supposed to prepare one for the future, not destroy it.
If any or all of you are interested in a class action suit I am sure we can find a lawyer who will take it. More importantly I would like to see University of Phoenix closed down because of its unethical practices. I plan to file a complaint with FAFSA or anywhere else I can to try to stop them.
