I got my hair cut on Dec. 29. The stylist at Hair Cuttery gave me my receipt, told me to go to website on receipt to fill out survey when I got home. Receipt said go to "www.haircuttery.com/survey, fill out survey, you will be entered to win $1,000.
I did so but when I got to website, it was "SuperBusiness.com" and when I clicked on Hair Cuttery it took me to site that advertised taking surveys online and getting paid for it. One website, www.sitereviewauthority.org statedthat go there before you signed up for any online surveys so that you don't get scammed. Man named Dr. Mike Stera founded site, said he belonged to 172 firms that took surveys, only would recommend 3.
InstantPaidSurveys.com was 1st recommended, I joined. I paid $34.95 for enrollment, was told I could take as many surveys as I wanted as they need people, and Mike Stera said he more than made up the enrollment fee in his first survey.
I signed up for sendearnings.com, thought it was weird that they sent me user and password in email. When I went back computer stated that I entered invalid password. I had no access to SendEarnings or InstantPaidSurveys.com, computer said they didn't have account for me.
Tried to get in touch with Click Bank for payment, they told me they didn't have account for me, contact merchant. I tried calling them, no answer (Click Bank, 917 Lusk St., #200, Boise, Idaho 83706, (208-49-3300). I asked InstantPaidSurveys to refund my money by email, no results, also no address or phone no to reach them.
Sendearnings would not grant my request for refund, said I gave wrong account number, referred me to CotterWeb Enterprises, Inc., 1210 Northland Dr. #155, Mendota, MN, 55120. When I reached them by email they just referred me to another email address. I am locked out of website of Sendearnings, don't believe there is one. I noticed one advertisement for Sendearnings was for free credit report at Triple Advantage (experian).
It also says you will get paid $10 to order this "free" credit report. I just recently got my bank to refund my money from this so called "free" credit report that charged me $54.40 within the first few minutes.
Don't know if I've covered it all, but I don't think I will ever trust any firm on the internet again. I've learned my lesson
