Why do they send me emails that I have won large sums of money and yet dont send the check that I asked for in my registration to play free lotto ripoff

I registered to play free lotto and they sent me emails indicating I had won large sums of money yet they want me to register online with my credit card in order to claim the prize they say I won.

Each time a new email arrives they give me a new deadline with the same spill register with my credit card in order to claim the prize.

When I originally registered to play on line lotto for free I ticked the payment of winnings to be paid by check so why dont they send the cheque. Thank God I didnt register to have my winnings direct credited into my bank account.
