Fraudulent travel expenses ripoff Moscow Idaho

During the University of Idaho College of Business & Economics Campaign to raise $15 Million for a privately funded new building, the Dean of the College, Byron Dangerfield, filed many fraudulent, extravagant, and false travel expense reports amounting to over $100,000 over a time period of ten years to cover them up. For example, in dozens of instances he filed a travel report to Boise, Idaho to meet with potential donors when he infact remained at home in Pullman, WA the entire time of the travel expense report.

Also, he played the system well by duplicating travel expense reports by filing one with the University for official business and a second travel expense report for donor business for the same period of time. He would take five days to travel back and forth to Boise, stopping one day each way to go fishing by himself, claiming that he was meeting with a donor. He often bragged about how profitable it was indivually to raise money for the new building. He bought a $50,000 truck, a brand new car, and sent two children to college at the same time. It was a well known fact that he would not be seen at the college for weeks at a time, supposedly on travel.
