I was contacted by phone in April, by CMS Media Services. They told me of their incredible savings on magazines&magazines I do not read. I said I was not interested, but they said they would send a packet of information about their plan. I never the packet.
To my shock, CMS debited my VISA $58.16 two months in a row! I did NOT give my credit card numer to them at any time. Since I was not interested in their plan, there would not have been a reason for giving that information. I have not been able to reach CMS by telephone or mail. Check their website out. You're in for a surprise.
I took notes during their call. They claimed I would get several magazines a month for FOUR years, but would only pay $58.16 a month for 12 months&a total of $697.92 the first year. Their 'plan' has the potential for many problems to customers, but I am sure many people have bought it, because of the friendly telemarketers.
During the phone call I made the following comments but received no adequate answers: (1) what compensation will YOU give if the magazines go out of business? (2) if people make all of their monthly payments, yet receive no magazines, what will your action be&if you can be reached? (3) your 'plan' sounds like a great deal only for you.
IF customers manage to actually reach CMS throughout the first year of payments, they could be convinced that 'it's worth the wait'. Even if customers receive the magazines the first year, chances are good that subscriptions will then cease. If they try to contact CMS about their '4 year plan', it is doubful that CMS will even exist, so many customers are going to be scammed. Again, I have not been able to reach them over the past month!
I did not even agree to be a customer, yet they obtained my credit card number, and charged monthly customer fees to it. Imagine what else they could obtain!!! These people are not only scam artists, they are also hackers!!!
