I frequetly receive calls from a 201-210-3618 number. They either dont answer when I pick up or they call on a weekend with a 1-866 number wanting me to call them back. I call back and no answer. Anyway
I also received a call from a 1-911 number there are no 911 area codes in the U. S so I asked a friend to look the number up for me. (I didnt have a pc at the time) and she said it was a call center in new delhi, india. Right away I KNEW what it was for.
Im constantly told I have to pay on my sears acct I had, which I tried to make payment arrangements with sears to no avail.
These people that call are indian (from india) they call me all hrs of the day saying I have to pay this (when they do answer when i pick up) I have also asked them to stop calling me and to take me off their call list they said they would do that. The following day I get yet another call. My husband answered saying that he knows they are a rip-off scam company, they asked how would he know he said he looked the number up on the net.
They wanted to know the website in which it was located he told them it didnt matter, they have also yelled at us, swore at us used their foreign language while yelling.
We have asked for the name of the company and an address and proof they were a legit company. They quickly change the subject.
When asked for an addy to write to them to ask them to stop contacting us again they change the subject. Im tired of these harassing phone calls and have reported them to the federal trade comission as of today. Also I plan on reporting them to my state attorney general, and US attorney general.
Note to all tell them when they first call that you are also recording the phone call before they say anything (changes their attitude) they dont seem to yell and stuff then lol. I have even been hung up on when I tell them this. If they were so legit theyd provide some kind of info, letter, etc. Im reporting them to any state and federal comission I can
