Craig Sears, under the company name of Federal Period Timberframes, advertised many structures for sale, including the 100' c 40' Bank Barn, which is the structure I purchased. He advertised it with a price of $120,000 which included many features which I did not receive. I have been told that he resold the features I bought. His ad also said the price included raising of the barn. I was eager to have the barn raised before winter of 2002 and I paid the extra price he demanded.
After I had paid the entire amount ($140,000), Sears told me he had to store the timber on a farm and that I would have to pay more to release it. I did this.
Sears told his workers that I had NOT paid him, and I have been told that he did not pay them what he owed. I had to pay an additional $15,000 to have the barn raised.
Craig Sears hides his assets between a Russian real estate broker and his wife - nothing is in his name. This is a crooked, dishonest foul man who should not be allowed to conduct business anywhere.
