Call One Unlimited - Premier Benefits - Buyer's Union
Scam, Fraudulent Billing, Dishonest, Shady Business Practices, Phony Information, Promises, Products

On March 25, I was called by Call One Unlimited and offered a $200 coupon book good at Wal-Mart. Along with this, they would include a calling card. After activation of this calling card, I had 14 days to cancel it, or be charged $149.90.

I asked my representative (he gave his rep # as 0785, name was possibly Darren Slayer, but with his heavy accent, I'm not sure) specifically if I did NOT activate the card, if I would have to cancel or be charged. Twice I asked, twice he assured me that if it wasn't activated, there would be no charge.

I agreed to pay $3.95 through my checking account, and was transferred to the verification department. Again I asked twice if I didn't activate the card, if I would be charged. Again, he said I would not be. I was given an ID number of 11905229, and was supposed to be given a tracking number, but the verification man hung up on me.

Then on April 20th, they charge me in my checking account $149.90, which to make matters worse, bounced, incurring a $4 fee. Not only had I NOT activated the calling card, I had never received the card or coupon book! I have tried repeatedly to contact the company at the number given, only getting a busy signal. Research into the company gave me 5 other numbers, all of which are busy or don't work.

I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau (who have had over 400 complaints against this group of companies in the last three years), the attorney generals of California (where the company is located) and New Mexico (where I am from), the National Fraud Information center, and the Federal Trade Commission.

I STRONGLY urge everyone affected by this company to file a complaint immediately with the FTC by calling 1-877-382-4357 or going online at www.ftc. Gov. If enough people complain, the government will take action, and justice can be served against this disgusting company.
