The District Support Service Center at Pima Community College in Tucson is run by a hypocritical and racist (doesn't like hispanics, he's black) individual, Mr. Lorenzo Cotton supported by his boss at the DCO, Paul Smith (Paul is white and thinks his crap doesn't stink. He calls everybody in the trades "petty people".
These two individuals, along with their lapdogs Billy Ward, Mikey Posey and Johnny Bracamonte (Little nazi) have repeatedly abused their positions in the last 3 years as administrators to bring about false allegations and trumped up charges against a multitude of blue-collar (tradesmen) workers who've actively protested against the illegal and inhumane treatment of the blue-collar workforce.
There are multiple safety, EEOC, and wanton law-breaking violations occuring in the DSSC shops and Lorenzo takes it upon himself to target any whistleblowing by employees. His actions have resulted in the unlawful termination of at least 10 individuals in the last year alone, three in the Plumbing Dept alone (out of a shop of three workers) and out of a crew of 25 tradesmen throughout the DSSC.
Paul Smith is just as corrupt, he's the go-to guy after Lorenzo serves you notice that they're going to try to get rid of you, so the odds are already stacked against you from the start. Nobody in the administrative levels stands up against this collective thuggery, at least not the head of HR, Charlott Fugett, she's just as corrupt and goes throught he motions that she's being fair.
The local AFSCME Union is a joke and does nothing to defend the workers whose rights are being trampled upon, they just take your union dues every paycheck and roll over for the administration during every meet and confer (more like meet and submit).
Lorenzo is also a huge hypocrite. He uses college resources (computers and Internet service) to gamble online, look at porn and was even investigated by the Pima College Dept of Safety for violating these college policies. Of course nothing ever happened, it was all hush hush, but later he comes up with a hardline policy stating that the improper use of college resources will result in termination. He should fire himself first. Lorenzo also uses parts and tools from the DSSC shops for his rental properties as does Paul Smith and Johnny Bracamonte.
These evil people are the reason that college projects are always behind schedule and overbudget. Lorenzo has been purportedly receiving kick-backs from his cronies in the commercial sector and is himself a failed Architect who married into money (Slivvy Cotton is one of Tucson's wealthiest women). He's also a womanizer and has just recently hired a young healthy latina as his secretary. You should see how he drools over her and takes her to lunch daily, sometimes for over two hours, it's sickening to watch.
The managers at the DSSC screw off repeatedly, especially Mikey Posey and his sometimes 10-15 smoke breaks a day (this has been documented). Mikey also loves to violate labor rules by voilating hourly workers lunch breaks by coming in and demanding something be done right now and later claiming he forgot it was still lunch. Yeah, like forgetting 3-4 times a week. He's directed by Billy Ward to break the law repeatedly and then lie about it. Posey has declared that he doesn't like hisapnics either, yet the college is approx 30% hisapnic.
Anyone who wants to work for Pima College should investigate who their potential boss will be. The DSSC is run by a bunch of racist, hypocritical, moronic monsters and the current Chancellor Dr. Flores or College Board doesn't give a damn about anybody but themselves. Dr. Flores is currently leaving for another position elsewhere (Chancellors leave Pima every two years almost for more money). They care not about treating the workers fairly or in abiding by the law.
Remember, Lorenzo Cotton, Paul Smith, Charlott Fugett, Billy Ward, Mikey Posey and Johnny Bracamonte have broken many laws by abusing their positions. Hopefully someone with the resources will sue the college and these idiots will be sent packing.
