I received an invoice from Premier Premium Communications in the mail yesterday. It was for $235.00 for three phone calls, all made to the same number in the UK. I contacted PPC to find out exactly what website my computer had visited and they gave me some webpage that just says "Install. Exe" on it. I know I have never been to that page before, so I emailed back to ask them to verify thier information that they have. I have yet to hear back from then, but I have been reading up on this company here on the usacomplaints.com.
Apparently thier software hijacked my modem and made the calls. There were times during which I am being billed for that my modem had dialed out with out anyone being on the computer. I couldn't use my home phone and couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. Now I know. This software can dial out at anytime without anyone being present at the computer and you will rack up big charges. I have yet to get my next phone bill, but now I have to try and get this all sorted out with them also.
I refuse to pay this bill and will fight it as far as I can to get these charges cleared from my name.
