My family is looking for houses with the green features. We went to see Shapell Homes Plum Canyon Ranch in the Santa Clarita Valley.
What a Rip Off!!! The construction is very poor, also dusty, windy and hot in the valley. Cant believe they are way overpriced for such a poor constructed house in a middle of nowhere and we are talking about Base Price only! The sales said because of all the environmental features that we can save down the road, so we shouldnt mind paying more to get them!
Yeh, sure! Think about we probably need to put up at least $80,000 for the upgrades for the interior and perhaps another $20,000 for the yard in order to call it home (estimated quotes from the Sales). Oh! Besides, more money for a little bigger backyard! The Sales tries a bit too hard to sell us theirs, well, getting kickbacks from the subcontractors, so obvious!
Think about also the drive to LA, at least 2 hours one way to work, bumper to bumper traffic, high heat and strong wind in the valley, we cant justify the price we have to pay for the additional electricity, gasoline, as well as time consumed on the road to buy the house!!!
