Franklin Homes built the home and they also refuse to complete repairs. They (FH) did come out and replace some of the cabinet doors but by the 2nd time (and in the process damaging the cabinets/drawers themselvs) and they still didn't have all the correct doors/drawer front they UPS'd them to us so we could install them ourselves. The crown molding was not installed correctly, walls are not straight. My fireplace in the den you can place your fingers up to the 2nd knuckle between the wall and the fireplace. The carpet has lumps and bumps. They have never come out and repaired the stress fractures in the drywall. My ac/heat system still doesn't work correctly. Oh and I was weeding my landscaping, (if you could call it that) and found that they put a 3 inch hole in the siding. Not to mention they threw down some red blocks and put some gravel around it and call it a sidewalk. I can't get grass to grow in the yard because there is such a slope in the yard that all the grass seed washes down to the front of the house where the grass grows great but isn't supposed to grow at all but does because when they landscaped the didn't even bother to put landscaping fabric down. We were told we would get a 12x12 back deck we didn't we were told we would be getting a big screen we didn't get that either. When the put the siding up on one end of the house every seam lines up. I have pics. I could go on and on but all I can say is I know that Clayton Homes is a monopoly (at least here in East TN) but I would encourage anyone who is thinking about purchasing a home from them to run as fast as possible in the opposite direction.
