My wife & I wish we had done more research prior to working with Mr. Chris Horney @ SmartPartner Homes. They sub out all of their work and due to the fact that the modular walls were damp when erected the drywall started to crack and screws poped all over once the lumber began to dry out. The subs they used, told us that they don't like to use the pre-fab lumber because they can not adjust fit or squareness of the walls, etc. This really makes for a nightmare when it comes to finishing out bathrooms, kitchens, etc. Some of the subs never finished the work because they were not getting paid on work as it was being done which cause many delays. If you are interested in a house that is thrown up quickly, and cabinets are snapped in place, and are not worried about living there too long, then consider the panelized, modular lumber package. I will say one thing... It's not "Smart" to have a "Partner" involved with your "Home". We had a hard time even corresponding with them since they keep on the move and won't publish an address other than a PO Box.
