This has stuck in my craw for over a year now! I feel I must do something about it!
On 3/24/06 I purchased a "Tempurpedic" mattress from "Brass & Glass" for the amount of $2,099.00.
The merchant told me by phone when I asked about a "in-home" trial time period that he would give me a few days to decide. At no time did he mention no refunds.
The mattress did not work out for me giving me back pain.
When I tried to return it the merchant lied and denied ever saying anything about a trial period! I even offered to pay a restocking fee, he would have none of it.
We went around and around between my credit card company and the merchant for over 6 months! Twice my acct. Was credited only to be rebilled when the merchant finally responded.
I was screwed because of fine print on the delivery receipt that I had signed. I believed the merchant about the trial period even though I did see in small letters "no refunds".
So when all was said and done I got slapped for a 20% restocking fee and got a $1,500 inferior box spring mattress which I could also not use in return. So, I am basically out $2,400! Don't shop there! They rip people off!
