Terrible landlord, health code violations, nothing done about problems, cussed at me! Ripoff

Capital income properties, amarillo texas should not be in business!

I was looking for a place to rent, and located a company named Capital Income Properties, owned by Dan Rogers, that rent's several properties to people in the Amarillo and Canyon Texas area.

I went and filled out the application with the leasing agent Cathy telling me it was a "hot" property and that she liked me so if I could get her the deposit that night she would rent it out to me.

Boy was i suckered.

First when it turned to be winter and temperatures below 20 degrees, we realised that our WALL MOUNTED HEATER, that cathy said worked so well, was not sufficient enough to heat the home. We made a service call and had to do so for 8 days before getting someone to come out to look at it. He told us there was nothing wrong with it, and he can't help it if we are cold natured. I'm telling him, at night we wear jackets inside!

I looked up the model number and sku on the internet of the company that manufactures the heaters and it was only adequpate to heat a 700 square foot home, ours was 1,000, even after being presented with that evidence, nothing was done. So we gave up and went and bought heaters for each room.

Approximately two months later we are all very sick, one of us going to the doctor five times in one month. The dog was nearly dying from vomitting and she was on meds! Then we found that there was mold behind the bed, in one room, it was BLACK MOLD, then we searched the house and pulled out couches and beds, to see what was hiding, the black mold was everywhere!

We called the landlord, Dan Rogers, again, and he said they would come look at it, a week later when they made it out there, they said to whipe it up, it was mildew, well NO IT WAS NOT we got an at home mold test, and everything. They put us in a postion where we were seriously sick, and when we called back to talk to him about the mold again, he cussed at me, and told me to get out of his house. Apparently i was bothering him! So then i get home and there is an eviction notice on my door giving me five days to move out!

Dan rogers is a mean man, who cares nothing about his tennants.

I can only hope by putting this on here it will get to someone before they rent from him.

Don't respond or call to signs that say 331-rent. That is capital income properites and they are bad business.
