We wanted a couple of projects completed in our home because we were moving - paint and finish off a wall we began but didn't have time to complete. This included the windows sills, window trim, compounding around two radiators, etc.
I had thoroughly gone through what we wanted with the proprietor, Shawn Reid. However, we noticed when the contract was presented that a lot of what we wanted accoplished was missing - a red flag. We brought this to Mr. Reid's attention. Mr. Reid's response was that is was no problem and he'll take care us. Not.
We learned a hard lesson. Basically, if you are dealing with this individual, get it ALL in writing and don't take him at his word.
Also, the contract stated that our living room will be painted and yet the molding on the right of our stairs wasn't done nor the spindles of the railings. This would be extra.
Mr. Reid himself has admitted to us that 1 in 8 customers are dissatisfied/complain about his work. You be the judge. He says that's b/c 1 in 8 people are nit picky. We are the most easy going people we know, but we also know when something's not right.
