Prior to Protect America we had (ROR REDACTED COMPETITOR). Ever time we accidentally set off the alarm we would get an immediate call from them to assure everything was ok. If no one answered they sent the police over. 3 years ago a rep from Protect America convinced us to switch to them.
With Protect America, we never got a call from them whenever we accidentally tripped the alarm. We called twice to express our concern. The first time they told us that there was a delay in the system and that if the alarm was disabled within x amount of time they would not call to check up on the residence. So fine we bought the explaination. We then tested the system and let the alarm go off for over 15 minutes.
Again no response from Protect America. When we called back, they claimed that they had the wrong number on file and they corrected the issue. Yesterday, I got home from work to find my house broken into. Door was left wide open along with a window. Alarm had gone off. Once again, no notification from Protect America.
In the 3 years ive had them, not once have I been contacted regarding an alarm trigger. I feel this company is fraudulent. Obviously I am not the only one.
