Dale Simmons, Legend Design and Construct, is not to be trusted in any way. All your business with this organization, if you deal with and I would suggest you don't, must be in clear writing and fully spelled out.
I have never in my life had to chase someone around and literally beg him to start, follow through and finish a job after paying him on time and exactly what he asked for.
Dale will lie lie lie about everything he's responsible for and if you don't double check everything, he will burn you.
I paid for a job to be done many months ago and he still hasn't even started on the structure. As a matter of absolute fact, he never even filed for the permit to the city to execute the work.
Legend Design has the ability to do good work, but it'll be the biggest head ache you've ever dealt with and you will NOT get everything you've paid for or Dale will not complete the job somehow...
Do not in any way give him cash... No cash... Not a penny. Also, do NOT write the checks out to Dale Simmons. Only write the checks out to Legend... Dale is not reporting his income. The fact that he won't even accept the check written to Legend Design and Construct should set off big red alerts!!!
Don't believe anything that comes out of Dale's mouth... EVER!
How he gets you to commit is that his bids are generally half of the reputable and respected companies. I would suggest you pay more to ensure your job is completed on time, with the correct permits and has a valid warranty you can rely on.
Legend's web site states that they are insured to $1M... Don't believe it.
