We purchased trailer tires from here and after driving on it 24 hours, the tire blew. We went there and spoke with a representative who said that Atlantic Tire could not do anything however, he was nice enough to call the manufacturer to see if there was a warranty of some sort. There was not because they claim that since it was a trailer tire which is usually used for commercial use. How do they know if it is used for commercial use or not?
For all they knew, it could have been for a trailer for us to pull our jet skis to the beach! They pretty much told us that we were up the creek without a paddle and had to absorb the 65 dollar cost. This has caused us to be down yet again since the trailer is the livelihood of our business. After another frustrating dead end, we were advised by a friend to go to Discount Tire who were more than helpful and willing to assist us in anyway possible.
Not only did they take the blown out tire, they prorated their warranty on the tire so the new tire they used to replace it was only a fraction of the original price (which by the way was 30 dollars cheaper than what Atlantic was going to charge us) AND the manager was nice enough to place a warranty on the other tire that we purchased from Atlantic Tire. It's funny how Discount Tire placed a warranty on a tire that Atlantic Tire could not on their own merchandise.
Needless to say, Atlantic Tire can eat a fat one.
