I ordered what I thought was a dollar car history report over two months ago. Normally I don't use the credit card I used. This week, I got a bill for 19.95 when I didn't even use the card?! Then I realized this company has been charging me monthly for a vehicle lookup service I didn't know about!
This alone would make me mad. What makes me furious is that the car report generated from their website didn't even tell me the vehicle I was looking at was TOTALLED at one time! I had a dealer/autoshop look it up with carfax while they were inspecting it (before I was going to buy it) and sure enough it was not only totalled but before that was classified as a Lemon. Neither of which was picked up by carinfo.com. They can give me the 59.85. Chances are the gas it took me to look at the vehicle and the 65 bucks it cost me to get it inspected (a fee I would not have paid if I knew it were totalled in the first place). That cost I will never get back. Go somewhere else for your car reports.
