Sentra spec-v has stalled 3 times while driving lost all power to brakes used handbrake dealer cannot replicate problem so will not fix

I bought my 2004 nissan sentra spec-v in December of 03'. I did not start having problems until march of 04'. Then all hell broke loose. My car would not and still will not start right away. It takes at least 6-10 seconds to crank. The car has stalled on me and my wife and 9 month old three times while driving.

Just imaging driving on the interstate at 70 or so mph and then hear silence because your car has turned off. Not only that you now have no brakes because oh yeah that's right they only work with power which you can only get with an engine that is running.

Luckily no working cars were ahead of me and I was able to stop using the handbrake. Sounds easy but it scared the crap out of me especially with an infant in the back.

I have reported several problems to Hays Nissan (615-865-7220) in particular Nate Mays which is supposed to be the customer representative but has yet to satisfy any of my complaints. He states that "if we at Hays Nissan cannot replicate your complaint of the car our hands are tangled". There has got to be a better answer than that.

The only way I think they will listen is when I and my family die in a wreck because of the car stalling and the car is tangled.

These are the problems I have reported to Hays Nissan, BBB, and the government: paint chipping beyond "normal wear and tear" car is rusting on roof, car will not start, driver window leaks water when it rains or I wash the vehicle, transmission slips out of gear, transmission rattles sometimes when accelarating.

All of these problems were reported before my warranty was over. Now Nate Mays'says that "the issue is that you are now over 36000 miles and we are not obligated to fix anything without charge". If I have to I will make a new law for this type of service. I bet they will find that the vehicle has a problem after the warranty is over so that I will have to pay. This was said to me on 09/27/04. The car is scheduled to go back to Hays on 10/04/04 for service.

I highly think anyone considering buying a Nissan should just not waste their time and hard earned money and just go to Honda or Toyota. They stand behind their customers and their vehicle unlike Nissan.

To end this I was even told by Stones River Nissan in Murfreesboro that because I was not one of their customers they would not be able to help me and advised me to take the car to Hays Nissan because I was their customer and Stones Rivers'.

Does this make any since to anyone on Earth?

Nate Mays', I hope you see this one day and not be mad but understand that you are not doing your job. Your dealership was so nice to sell me a car and now since I've been screwed I get treated like s#$t.
