Mike Ubersox Threatened cheapest contract thief stolen ripoff Chrysler Dodge Ubersox Mike Dealer Dishonest

In November my dad purchased a 2012 Dodge Ram Laramie from Mike Ubersox and Sam Gomez of Ubersox Auto Group in Platteville, Wisconsin. My dad, nearing retirement, has been saving his entire life to be able to do this. It was a $45,000 truck. The next month, my dad finished his dream. He wanted to have a new minivan to travel with in his retirement, so he purchased a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country Limited, another $45,000 vehicle, from Mike Ubersox and Sam Gomez at Ubersox Auto Group.

In order to complete the minivan deal, the contract states that the dealership would supply my dad a used topper that would fit his 2012 Dodge Ram, to be specific, a Leer topper with sliding rear window and venting contractor side windows. (The Dodge Dakota my dad traded on the van had a topper exactly like it, leaving him, a farmer who normally transports small animals, in need of a vented topper).

This was agreed upon and is stated clearly in the contract. After my dad paid for both of his new vehicles in cash, since he was never a believer in financing, Mike Ubersox showed us the exact topper that we needed. The salesman, Sam Gomez, assured us it was a perfect fit for our new truck and it would be painted the next day.

After a few days of waiting, my dad called to inquire on when he could have the topper installed on his new truck. Sam Gomez informed us that the topper he had showed us would not fit after all, and they were actively looking for a topper that would work.

After calling Ubersox Auto Group daily for around 6 months, Mike Ubersox finally told us that he would purchase a new topper to those exact specifications and have it within a week.

In a week, my dad called, and Mike said that he hadn't had time to order it and he would call us.

Another week passed. My dad spoke with Mike Ubersox and was finally able to schedule a date to drive to Dubuque, Iowa, some 30 miles further out of our way, to pick up the topper.

My dad took a day off of work in order to drive down and get the topper. When he arrived, to his horror, the topper Mike Ubersox had ordered him was a RANCH topper with NO windows whatsoever!!! My dad refused to have the topper installed on his truck, since it would surely send small animals which would be hauled in it to their doom.

He drove back to Ubersox Auto Group and told Mike that he had refused the topper and explained why he had done so. Mike Ubersox, in a fit of rage, grabbed my dad by his arm, drug my dad into another room away from other potential customers, and clenched his fist in his face. Mike told my dad that he had purposely ordered "the cheapest f*ing topper I could find" and that if my dad did not accept it, he was not going to get anything from him.

My dad pleaded with him to honor the contract they had together and get him the topper he had specified, but to no avail.

We have now contacted the Better Business Bureau, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Consumer Reports, the Platteville Gazette, The Dodgeville Chronicle, the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection, Platteville Chamber of Commerce, Chrysler Group LLC, and several other consumer protection agencies. Each of these has been in contact with Mike Ubersox and the staff at Ubersox Chrysler Auto Group, but the lies and falsehoods told by them have deterred each of these agencies from taking action on our behalf.

Brandon of the WI DOT even told us, "Mike (Ubersox) has drawn a line in the sand... There is nothing else anyone can do..."

Chrysler themselves told us that "Ubersox Auto Group is an independent Chrysler dealership, even though we authorize him, we have no power over enforcing the deals and contracts he signs."

If this is true, then Mike Ubersox potentially has the ability to promise his buyer the world, then snatch the vehicle away after he has been paid for it. CHRYSLER DOES NOT BACK THIS DEALERSHIP!!!

How this can be possible when we have a written contract is beyond my comprehension, but I want all potential vehicle buyers out there to be aware of how Mr. Mike Ubersox does his deals on vehicles...
