Auto net scammers, change prices, sell for more that what its worth, con artists

Stay as far away from this place as possible!!! I bought a car from them in Feb. Being that I am a single female, with a toddler, the salesman KENNETH assured me that the car was in tip top shape. He BROWSED over the CarFax with me for reassurance, but did not print them.

I should have know they were shady characters when the car was listed on Craig's list for $5,400, but when I got there he said the price was $7,400. I had been looking at cars all day and did not take notice of the price difference until I got home. The car still looked and ran great (so I thought) so I pursued the purchase. A few days later, I went to THEIR site and the car was listed for $6,900. I understand that prices change, but 3 different prices within a week, come on!

I still pursued the car because I was in desperate need of a new vehicle and they were willing to take a "deposit" to hold the car and let me return with the rest the following week.

Upon checking the car out, I noticed there was a problem with the AC. He assured me that it probably just needed freon and he would take care of it before I left the lot. I took my dad with me on one trip and he voiced to Kenneth that my last car had left my son and I stranded a few times and we didn't need that happening again. Again, Kenneth reassured my dad that they were understanding of my situation and would not put me in a car like that.

I returned the following week to purchase the car, along with a warranty that I thought was through them (its through some awful company out of PA). I ended up paying $6,999... $7,400 out of the door... Plus $300 for the "warranty"... So a total of around $7,700. I visited the lot on 3 or 4 occasions, and noticed each time that the gas hand was on "E"E" and the light was on. I didn't think anything of it at the time, assuming they would "fill me up" as any reputable car lot would. Well, I was WRONG. Got all of the paper work signed and loaded my son into his car seat and saw the light was still on and the hand was beyond "E". My friend who went with me to drive my car back stated that they were supposed to fill it up. She added that I had just paid almost $8,000 for the car so they should at least fill up the tank. I approached Kenneth with this request and he pulled a $10 bill from his wallet and said, "We can't fill the cars up with gas or we would be out of money. I only make about $500 from each car I sell". WHAT A BUNCH OF CRAP!!! My friend responded with, "What car lot do you go to that doesn't fill your car up with gas"? To which he replied, "This one".

After having the car for less that a week, I took it to the Honda dealership for a key fob. They performed a free diagnostic and reported that I needed almost $5,000 in repairs! Yikes! Of course the dealership will always want more that what is required, so I took it to a friend's shop and still had to come out of pocket an additional $1,300 because the "warranty" did not cover any of the repairs. The mechanic suggested getting the CarFax print out from them so that he could see what else needed to be done. When I called Kenneth to request them, he told me they no longer used CarFax (even though the decals were plastered all over the building, less than a week prior) and that they were using a different company to verify vehicle info. LIES, LIES, LIES!!! I asked if he could print it out, since they should still have the login info and he said he no longer had access and I could pay for it myself!

I have had the car for 2 months now and I am having to put it BACK in the shop AGAIN because the AC completely quit working, its leaking oil, and I need spark plugs! I would have been better off buying a brand new car, since I've now paid close to $10,000 for it.

Oh, almost forgot... When Kenneth skimmed over the CarFax, I asked if the car had been wrecked. I have not yet purchased the CarFax to check it out, but I've noticed that there are places on the car with running paint, where the car has been repainted (probably from a wreck).

I've been told that dealers will often jack up prices on Hondas because they are such reliable and good running cars. But, they overcharged me WAY too much for all of the problems the car had (which they undoubtedly knew about). They also took advantage of the fact that I was a woman and in desperate need of the car. On the bright side, I'm also being told that it IS a good car and once I'm done with all of the maintenance and repairs, it will last me for a lifetime... But had I know the car needed all of these repairs, and the warranty does not cover any of them, I would have taken my money elsewhere.

Again, stay away from automax!!! They are scammers and frauds, out to get a quick buck!!!
