I switched auto insurance to Met Life 6 months ago. I was on the fence while talking to the service rep as the rates offered through a group plan at work were not much better than what I was paying at the time. The rep advised that in 6 months (March) my rate would automatically reduce as there was a premium being charged because I was not yet incident free for 5 years, but would be March. I called them today as the rate reduction was not reflected in my last paycheck. They said they had no idea what I was talking about; that I had a 1-year policy and nothing would change at a 6-month point, and that I was not being charged any premium for the incident. I got absolutely no satisfaction on the phone today. I asked to speak to a supervisor and after first being told the supervisor would say the same thing (how does she know what someone else would say unless there is a standard script?) was put on hold for 5 minutes, and somehow there was no supervisor available. Of course not. Supposedly I am going to get a call within 48 Business hours. We'll see... Classic bait and switch. I'll take this all the way to the attorney general and/or corporation commission if I have to.
