I rented a car form enterprise for two weeks, the forst car was a toyota and the brakes went out. They delivered another car to me and after i droped it off, i recieved a letter stating i was in an accident, and i have to pay for the damage! I returned the car in perfect condition, and now i am being blamed for an accident that never occured, and i had insurance for the entire durration of the rental.
I called the office and they refused to speak with me, and gave me the corporate office numebr, since it is saturday, the office is closed.
After discussing this with several people in my alumni group at a breakfast this morning, several c.E. O's and c.F. O's whom are very well known and in the media (forbes, wall street journal) they informed me that enterprise is notorious for filing false claims against renters! Notorious! They called it a shakedown, and this is how enterprise makes money. I call it fraud and extortion.
Advice - never ever rent from this company, they will try to make you pay for a claim, and ruin your day, week, month, year...!! The customer service is the worst. It may cost a little more to rent from another company, but i the long run, you will be a lot happier knowing you are dealing with a company that has integrity and does not lie about claims! Be aware and be warned! Never rent from thsi company, if you have no choice take a taxi public transort!
