Ripoff, ridiculous interest rates, poor customer service workers

I purchased a 1999 Ford Contour in March with 25,000 miles. I desperately needed transportation to get to work the next Monday. I went to Duval Honda on Cassat Ave in Jacksonville, Florida thinking that they were going to take good care of me, (not knowing I was making one of the biggest mistakes of my life). They told me the car cost 13,000 and that I would be rebuilding my credit. I knew I had to pay interest but I did not realize until about a month later that I was paying 18% and that I would end up paying a little over $20,000 for my car.

When I finally read my purchase agreement, I had an awful feeling in the pit of my stomach because I realized that I made a big boo boo. I have never been charged outreagous interest before so I did not know that this company was out to get me.

I sucked it up and was determined that I would rebuild my credit no matter what the cost and I blamed myself for not reading the paperwork properly. What made it so difficult was that my dash started popping up (Ford did replace), the automatic windows broke after having the car for a couple weeks, the speakers went out and eventually it started raining in my trunk.

Nevertheless, I continued to pay Transouth 353.00 per month, never letting my account go past 30 days but twice and for good reasons. For 4 years I was faithful, I received 2 deferments one was due to being on maturnity leave.

Just a few months ago the timing belt went out and I had to pay over $300 to get the car fixed and I explained to the Rep that I had to get the car fixed with my note money and needed to see if I could get a deferment. They denied and everything went downhill from there. They called my house unlimitless. They refused to make reasonable payment arrangements with me. There is this one lady who i tried to set up a payment for my next payday and she told me that she could not do that. The local office stopped taking payments. I asked one Rep if I could log on to the internet and make payments and she said no because I was late. I asked previously if they did automatic withdrawals from my account and they said no. My only option to get the payment in speedily was to wire or pay check by phone for $13 which was ridiculous.By now I am fed up and choose not to do business with this company anymore but I have now paid them $16,000 for the car.

Transouth is now threatening to come and get the car and I have lost the patience to even deal with them over the telephone. The last straw is when the Rep called my house and spoke with my 11 year old daughter, asking her whether she was home alone and told her that she needed to talk to me right away and call me on 3-way.

I am LIVID. No calls my house and deal with MY CHILDREN IN THAT FASHION FOR NOTHING. I will be contacting them about this issue and would like to speak with a lawyer to find out my rights as a consumer. I hope and pray that this company is shut down soon because when you build wealth on someone else sorrows there will always be hell to pay. May God have mercy on The CEO, Executives, Car Dealers and Customer Service Reps.
