I want to talk with you guy's about a Tow Truck company scam. I used to live in Clackamas @ the Clackamas Village Apts and have been through this two many times over the years and would like you to please look into this. Tonight at about 12 am I gave a friend a ride home to 8643 SE Causey at the Pine View Apts in Clackamas, OR. I helped him carry some grocery's in the house about 500 ft from where my car was towed. I was parked in visitor parking there was no numbers and no signs stating NO Parking my friend assured me it was OK and it was visitor parking. I was worried about this and was in the house for three minutes and when I returned outside my car was towed and already gone like I was being stalked. I was in the apt for 3-4 minutes and my car was towed. I ran down satires no sign of a tow truck and I did not see one when I had pulled in to park. I ran to the street his apt was about 2000 feet in the deep back of complex to get there phone number I assumed I had been towed. The name of the Company is Retriever Towing (503) 222 - 4763 they instantly answered the phone explained I was parked in the lot with out a permit and it would be $302.00 dollars to get my car out right away or by Tuesday morning, if I do not get my car out by Tuesday $40.00 a day starts to charge my account per 24 hrs. I explained it is my friends house I was parked in visitor parking and was only out of my car for 4 minutes and it is 12 am please help my kid's Christmas will be ruined. I will have to pay the money and even have to take back Christmas presents I know you guy's can not change what happened, but something just does not sit right about this whole process and does not seem fair. I had to take a train home to Gresham and just got home. The Max driver heard my story and explained for me to contact your news team that he had seen a similar story on your news cast. I am asking for your help if you can? I also had went on a site and read several complaints of other's being hassled by this company there address is 6461 SE Johnson Creek Portland, OR 97209. I would cooperating in any more information you would want from me and my friend who is a tenant @ Pine View Apartments. My name is Cortez Couch my number is I am only writing you because my kids Christmas will now be ruined and DO NOT want anyone else to experience what I went through tonight for just parking my car and helping my friend with grocery's. I also have no money to get this billed paid and my whole pay check on Wednesday which was for Christmas and Christmas dinner is now ruined my girls are 12,9, and 5 they will just not understand why.
