Dobbs uses scare tactices to sell you parts you don't need!

I must start back a few months before my visit to Dobbs.in March I purchased my truck from a dealership. I had to replace the Track bar for it to pass inspection. Did that. Fast forward 7 months. Oct. 1st I took my truck in to get a front end alignment so I can put bigger tires on it (the tires where brand new when I bought it and now they are bald on the outside.) The manager came out and told me he wanted to show me something on the truck. We went into the garage where he had a tech wiggle the tire he then proceeded to tell me that the Tie-Rod end, The Wheel bearing and the Track bar where bad.

I asked him if he was sure the track bar was bad. He said without a doubt it was bad. Told me he could replace it all for $1,791. I told him I did not have that kind of money or I would not be putting used tires on my truck. I asked him to write up a written statement with the parts that are bad and give it to me. He did. I made a statement about how I would go to Orielly's to see how much the parts are there. He and the guy and the desk went on this sales tyrade about how I don't want to use Orielly parts because they do not last long and I need to spend " a little more" for good quality parts and they use Moog brand parts only. The other guy even laughed and made a comment about "that's how we know you work on your truck."

After listening to him go on this tyrade about how it was unsafe for me to drive my truck and my wheel might pop off at any moment. I need to be careful, blah, blah, blah. I went to Oriellys to price the parts Here is the comparison.
Dobbs - R.S. Outer Tie-rod end - $242
Front Track Arm - $352
R.F. Hub Assembly - $587
Orielly's -R.S. Outer Tie-rod end - $66
Front Track Arm - $143
R.F. Hub Assembly - $165
Bet you'll never guess what brand O'rielly's had (Moog for those who didn't get the joke) plus when I had another mechanic look at it he said there is no way possible the Track arm was bad and the bearing would have locked the wheel up before it would have "popped off" like the manager said because it is designed so that won't happen. The manager was using the fact that I had my kids and wife with me to scare me into buying his overpriced sales pitch. To bad for him I am a broke ass state employee who never has that kind of money in my account because he had me worryed at first.
