Bought Ford Explorer with 4 wheel drive. Called and reported 4WD was not working, I was told it was and that I just didn't know how to use it. I got stuck in snow, back tires only, front tires were on pavement I could not move my truck. Had to be pushed out.
I was also having problems with my brakes. I took my truck back to the dealer, the mechanic took a look and said I needed new tires, rotors, and that the 4wd was working. A friend of mine, who is also a mechanic later called and spoke with their mechanic and was told that there were pieces missing for 4 wheel drive, and that I needed new rotors and brake pads, the dealer expects me to pay for these repairs, even though they were all checked off as being in proper condition when I purchased the truck less then 2 months ago. I have one more payment left to make.
When I first bought the truck the dealer promised me new tires, and said that he would have his mechanic put the 4 wheel drive in. He was a really nice guy and talk to me with respect, now he refuses to make good.
