Colon started selling extended car warranty leads to a few car warranty companies in Missouri. Colon books radio spots with a company in California that runs the extended car warranty commercial on a few radio stations. Consumers call in off of the radio spot and the calls are then routed to a call center. The consumer's year, make, model, and personal information is taken and the lead gets emailed to Colon. Colon charges $ 30.00 per lead and sells a high volume of leads to his clients. Some of the calls are dropped calls and never make it to the call center for verification, but the consumers telephone number is sent to the “platform” software that Colon use; Colon will use a program dialer and put in the consumers telephone number and act as if he is a consumer and push the calls through to the company's clients so Colon will get paid for “leads” that are pushed through the dialer. On average I would say throughout the day approx. 80-100 calls are pushed through this dialer. Colons clients wire him funds into one bank account and from that account Colon transfers different amounts of money and wires it into multiple bank accounts, withdraws the money and stashes cash at his home, parents home, and retains NH and MA attorneys to hold the money for him in trust.
