1) I am subleasing space from the Graydon Head law firm. I have had no problems with mail or FedEx (or UPS for that matter) deliveries addressed to me since I moved in 8/8/09. An overnight that was to be delivered 12/16 was not delivered. I received a voicemail at 9:30 that night to say that the driver couldn't find my office (it is in the Fifth Third Center, downtown Cincinnati). I returned the call to the 800 number left by the caller at 7:45 on 12/17. After insistent prodding, I was assured that the problem had been resolved and it was to be delivered today 12/17. It wasn't. I again called the 800 number (nobody had followed up by by 7:00 pm I assumed it would not be delivered). The woman answering the phone insisted that it was the local office's problem and that she was trying to reach the local. After I had been on hold for about 15 minutes, she gave me to her "supervisor." Her supervisor at first wouldn't give me his name. He then reluctantly gave me his name as "Travis." When he connected with the local, he identified himself as "Mike" so obviously he lied to me about his name. Then, even though he was supposed to stay on the line to work things out, he hung up. The local person then said she just didn't know why the person in the morning said it would be delivered on 12/17 when in fact it wasn't put on the truck at all. As for tomorrow's delivery she told me that she couldn't assure me that it would be delivered for the same reason as yesterday. She just didn't know why all sorts of other things had been delivered but this wasn't. To be continued I guess. Unfortunately (as might be implied by the next day air delivery method) this is a very time sensitive package. She could give me no assurance that it would be delivered or that someone would even call me about it.
This always reminds me why I prefer FedEx.
