Tim Counselman Instead of replacing an alternator they "hot wired" the wire harness to the alternator which in turn began to melt onto my fuse box which is below the battery

On May 7th at approximately 1:30 p. M my 2005 Volkswagen Jetta stopped (and would not start) in the middle lane of Interstate 10 in Phoenix, Arizona. I realized that my alternator was most likely bad seeing as I had just replaced my battery the day before and I had had difficulty starting it over the last week. I first contacted my insurance company (USAA) to get a tow and then I contacted Larry Miller Volkswagen. I spoke with a service advisor, gave him my name (because I am in their computer system due to purchasing my vehicle at Larry Miller) and asked him if an alternator would be covered under my warranty.
