Paid cash for a brand new Beetle. I have 20,000 miles on it, and It has been in for "warranty" repairs nine times, 3 of which were the same thing. Headlights burned out; engine light; gear shift problems; tire sensor light; oil leaks; green goo wax dripping from car they say is "normal" from the heat!
And most recent... Driving home from the store 2 miles something sounds like its dragging under the car so I park, look under car the bottom engine splash guard has fallen off and is hanging by one bolt. Service department told me to rig it with zip ties or duct tape and bring it in to service. When I got to service, CHAD looked at the car, and said I must of hit something to cause this. I was then told by the general manager the same thing, and charged $300. To fix this.
Consumer complaints has several people with the exact same situation and they were told the same thing, like it was read from a script.
Volkswagon cars are built like crap and the warranty doesn't mean anything if your car is falling apart.
