Caring Cars
Diamond Auto, Vehicle Donation Center Gross, fraudulent advertising, out & out lies just to sell a vehicle

Caring Cars represents itself as a charity! It appears that sales are initiated over the internet. My experience was thru eBay. On 6/1/09 I purchased a 1989 Shasta motor home. It was advertised as: "Extra clean, looks & drives great, exceptionally well cared for, runs & drives magnificent, ready to jump in, turn the key & drive across country effortlessly. Excellent condition-you can tell it has hardly been used.inspected & serviced."
Well, these comments grossly misrepresent the condition of this unit! They are out & out lies! I flew from Co to Ca to pick it up. The setting is not your typical used car lot. Rather, a lot away from other businesses & operating out of a trailer. A port-a-John for a toilet!
This is what I found concerning this vehicle: Upon driving it off the lot, the gas pedal stuck on the freeway, almost causing an accident! The cab A/C did not work as well as the generator, right turn signal, propane system, coach battery, 1 headlight & wipers. The shower floor had been severely cracked causing water to leak out onto the carpet & sub-flooring. Stains were evident on the toilet seat, dinette cushion, carpet & stovetop. There was crud & mold in the refrigerator. Nicks & scratches all over the paneling. Broken handles on the refrigerator & toilet door. The entrance door window was loose. Oil & transmission fluids were both 1 qt low. Power steering fluid didn't even register on the dip stick. (Later it was determined that the power steering gear assembly had to be replaced due to leaks). Two tires were very old re-treads & I had 2 blowouts on the way home. The spare tire rim did not fit the vehicle. The vehicle stopped running on the interstate north of Las Vegas & had to be towed. Fuel pumps were replaced.
Within the next 2 months, other items replaced were: U joints, center support bearing, rear shocks, & starter motor. If it had indeed been inspected, most of these items would have been discovered!
