I ordered an engine from Midwest Auto Recycling on May 25. I called on June 22 and asked where the engine was. I was told, "Look for it at the end of the week". By Friday afternoon, June 26, one month after ordering, I still had not received my purchase. I called Friday 26th and told three individuals at Midwest that 1) I have waited long enough, 2) I was taking my business elswhere, 3) I was canceling my purchase, and 4) I wanted a full credit on my credit card. One individual put me on hold, came back, and told me, "It will be there Monday". I discovered later the engine was still on their dock while I called. They ignored my order to cancel, lead me to believe by deception that the engine had already been shipped, and shipped it later in the day. I called my VISA bank Saturday June 27, explained what had happened, and was advised to refuse to accept the engine. I refused to accept the engine when it arrived on Tuesday June 30 and called Midwest. I told them I cancelled June 26 and they said I didn't. The purchase has been in dispute at Citibank since June 27. I discern Midwest Auto Recycling is not an honest company. They attempted to deceive me and later presented untrue statements to Citibank. I would advise against doing any business with this company.
